Livelihood

  • Financial Literacy and life Skills-Literacy regarding insurance schemes, financial schemes and bank accounts has been offered and workshops on life skills have also been organized for the members of the self-help groups.
  • SHG Program-Under the self-help group program funded by NABARD, 53 self-help groups have been formed in 15 villages of Kishanganj Panchayat Samiti in Baraan District. The program mainly promotes the concept of saving, lending and entrepreneurship. The program provided livelihood training and ideas to the members of SHG groups. Training on developing and selling vermin compost, garments and other products was provided to the members of the SHGs. These members who were mainly women developed the products and even sold them at different Haat Bazaars and other Government organized markets like Amrita Haat.
  • Women empowerment-Unnayan runs USHA Silai schools for promoting the concept of women empowerment. As of now in all 40 silai schools are running in 2 districts of Rajasthan i.e. Baran and Kota. 10 classic and 20 satellite schools are in Baran district and 10 classic schools in Kota.
  • Farmer Producer Company (FPOs)-It is a registered company of farmers. The farmers are the shareholder of the company. They do business and earn income through the company. Unnayan Samiti promoted the concept of FPOs and encouraged the farmers to establish their companies. Unnayan ensured that these companies follow the legal compliance procedure. Apprxoimately 2000 farmers have been associated and benefitted with the program.

Other intervention by UNNAYAN

  • A study was conducted by the UNNAYAN to understand the causes for starvation deaths in Baraan District.
  • Kishori Manch- Kishori Manch operated in the village Narghgarh and Sonipura of Kishanganj Block, Baran District.
  • Vocational Training- Computer, Beauty Parlor and soft toys.
  • Media Campaign- Health and Hygiene program through Theater.
  • COVID- 19 awareness campaign was conducted in 12 districts of Rajasthan.
  • Unnayan Samiti is a implementation partner of Usha International. Unnayan Samiti working to empower women through Skill Development focused on USHA Silai Schools. Presently we established 100 of partnership model and 30 classic and 20 satellite schools’ model are in Baran Kota, Bundi, Jaipur and Sikar district.
  • Recently Unnayan samiti organized training for rural poor women to empower through Silai School with support of RKCL in 100 villages of Jaipur, Sikar, Kota, Dholpur and Prtapgarh district of Rajasthan.
  • Recently we got approval to work on Education issues through open schooling system with RKCL for three districts Alwar, Bharatpur and Kota of Rajasthan in which 1000 women will be participated.
  • Since 2021 Unnayan Samiti is working in 50 villages of Jaipur district on issues related to women Empowerment, Adolescent Health and Hygiene, Vocational Skills development, and Nutritional awareness project “Gram Siddhi” with support of Aavas Foundation Jaipur.
  • Recently we got a project and started work with Asian Paints CSR, on issues related to Adolescent specially focused on Adolescent Health, Personal Hygiene and Life Skills in Hariyana State.
